Frequently asked questions
Straight answers about connecting your website, pricing, AI help, and keeping customer data safe.
What websites does Local Lead Feed work with?
Almost any website. Add Local Lead Feed once so Hub forms, the call button, and other marketing tools work on your site. WordPress + WPForms is optional if you prefer a plugin.
Your web person pastes a short connection code on the site. Prefer WPForms? Use the official WordPress plugin with a connection code and a one-click test. Custom platforms can also send leads into the same inbox.
Do I need a developer to set up Local Lead Feed?
Usually no — add the website connection, then set up forms and alerts in the Hub. The Setup Guide walks you through each step.
Most home service businesses connect a site in minutes without writing code. Custom connections for other tools may need a developer. A WordPress plugin is available if you prefer that path.
Does AI replace my sales team?
No — AI in Local Lead Feed scores, summarizes, and suggests, but your team decides who to call and what to say.
Your own star ratings are separate from AI scores and are never overwritten. Account owners can turn each AI feature on or off. Missed-call text drafts are for review, not sent automatically.
Is my customer data safe?
While nothing on the internet is 100% safe we take safety measures to secure your account. Your business’s data stays in your account, connection codes are stored securely, and customer messages aren’t dumped into plain logs.
What phone system do I need for call tracking?
You use call tracking numbers set up in the Hub — no need to replace your whole phone system.
Add public-facing numbers with labels like “Main line” or “Google Ads number.” Inbound and outbound calls log automatically and link to leads by caller phone number.
How are leads from AI search detected?
Local Lead Feed looks at where the visit came from to spot traffic from ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Claude, Copilot, and similar tools.
Those leads appear in your inbox marked as AI Search and show up in a dedicated report with trends and simple recommendations.
Do I need WordPress to use Local Lead Feed?
No. The main path is a website connection that works on any site. WordPress + WPForms is an optional plugin for shops that prefer it.
Marketing Tools — web forms, call button, QR codes, referrals, and review requests — run from that one website connection. The WordPress plugin remains available for WPForms Lite or Pro.
What are Marketing Tools in Local Lead Feed?
Marketing Tools is a Hub suite powered by one website connection — web forms (on the page or popup), a call button, QR codes, customer referrals, and Google review requests after work is marked complete.
Connect your site once under Works with. Day-to-day tools live under Marketing. Referrals track status only; your team sends rewards outside the app. Review emails send when a lead reaches Work Complete.
